Sanita Burgic, MSN, AGNP-C always knew she wanted to help people. She found that oncology patients in particular have a unique strength and perspective on life. Sanita joined APSHO this year to connect and grow with colleagues, gain networking and career-enhancing opportunities, receive empowering career advice through the APSHO Empowered series, and make a difference by contributing to the society through committee participation.

Looking ahead, Sanita is passionate about raising awareness of cancer predisposition syndromes and promoting early detection and prevention. Sanita is also deeply involved in professional development and community advocacy. She currently serves as an Associate Advisory Board Member with Pink Ribbon Good (PRG) and is active in their IGNITE fundraising committee. At Siteman Cancer Center, she sits on the Enrichment Committee for APPs and facilitates their Metastatic Breast Cancer Support Group, which has become one of the most meaningful parts of her work.
