Nolan joined us from the University of Dayton and, while he may not work directly with patients, his impact on our patients and their families is truly meaningful. Alongside him is Heidi, who plays a vital role in bringing each patient's story to life.

Heidi works directly with patients, gently guiding conversations that capture their memories, values, and life experiences. This work takes patience, thoughtful preparation, and genuine care. Her passion for others, especially the elderly community, shines through in the way she connects so deeply with each individual. As an end-of-life doula, Heidi has also generously shared her knowledge with our team, helping staff better understand the compassion and support this role provides.

Together, Heidi and Nolan create something truly special. Hedi gathers the stories, and Nolan thoughtfully transforms that conversation into a beautifully written life legacy piece. These stories are first shared with patients themselves, offering a chance to reflect on and celebrate their lives. They are then shared with our team, fostering a deeper sense of connection, and finally gifted to the families as a lasting way to honor and remember their loved one.

Their combined efforts ensure that each patient's story is not only heard but preserved with dignity, compassion, and care!

Meet Dennis! 💙💜

Dennis is a dedicated Veteran Volunteer who regularly participates in veteran pinning ceremonies and provides meaningful companionship to our patients. He is always willing to step in, even on short notice, to ensure that veterans are honored with the recognition they deserve.

Dennis has formed connections with both patients and their families. In fact, a family was so touched by his presence that they asked him to read their loved one's eulogy at the funeral, a true honor that speaks volumes about the impact he makes. He embodies strong values of service and compassion. Dennis is reliable, supports fellow veterans, assists with yard work when needed, and even volunteers his time outside of the hospice to help clean up his community.

Dennis once shared, "Hospice has made me a better person, and people around me have noticed, myself especially."

We are so grateful to have Dennis as part of our team!✨

Our volunteers are something special. High school and college students choosing to spend their time sitting with patients, reading poetry, painting nails, and bringing comfort (sometimes with a four-legged friend🐾).

We had another successful Veteran pinning this past Friday with Jim!!! As an Army Reservist during peacetime, he had to balance his family life with military life. We give thanks for his dedication and service to our country.

Today is Advance Care Planning Day, & it's a reminder of the importance of making your healthcare wishes known before a crisis occurs. At Care360 Hospice, we encourage patients & families to take time to talk openly about their values, choose a healthcare decision-maker, & complete advance directives. These conversations can bring clarity, comfort, & peace of mind for everyone involved.

This day also aligns with National Healthcare Decisions Day, a nationwide effort to encourage people of all ages to plan ahead and ensure their wishes are honored.

A small conversation today can make a big difference tomorrow.
