Here's a discussion I've had recently with my elderly patients over say 80-90: During the depression, the highest unemployment rate reached about 25%, and there wasn't a pandemic included. Based on classic photos we have seen of the soup lines, etc., I would have thought it higher.
TODAY: please realize that this PANDEMIC is the challenge of our lifetime.
Our unemployment rate, de facto, may reach over 50% plus the addition of the pandemic... FOR THOSE USING THIS AS A POLITICAL ISSUE: let me ask you, how do you want to be compared by future generations comparing us to "The Greatest Generation" for example?
I am embarrassed by the continued in-fighting and IMO, lack of patriotism during this crisis.
When your COUNTRY called on you to be selfless and patriotic, how did YOU behave???
