If every spring feels like you’re personally offended by pollen… this is for you.

Allergies are your immune system overreacting.

Instead of suppressing everything, herbal medicine often focuses on modulating that response.

Nettle helps calm histamine activity.
Butterbur supports sinus pressure relief.
Eyebright soothes irritated eyes.
Turmeric reduces inflammation behind the scenes.

Simple herbs. Used intentionally.

Stop in and we’ll help you choose what fits your symptoms best.

Growing Herbs at Home (Southern Ohio – Zone 6)

In Southern Ohio, timing matters.

Our average last frost date falls around late April to early May, which means:

🌱 Start tender herbs like basil indoors 6–8 weeks before that (March is ideal).
🌿 Hardy herbs like chives, thyme, oregano, and mint can tolerate cooler temps and go outside earlier.
🌼 Calendula and chamomile can handle light frost once established.

Most people lose herbs not because they “don’t have a green thumb” — but because they plant too early or overwater.

Herbs prefer:
• Good drainage
• Morning sun
• Air flow
• Slight neglect over constant attention

And here’s something many people don’t realize — medicinal herbs often become more potent when grown in slightly stressed conditions (not babied in overly rich soil).

Start small. Even one pot on your porch counts.

Are you planting this year? Or just thinking about it?

Violet Island Refresher

Pineapple Olipop
Violet syrup
Adrenal support glycerite
Trace mineral drops
Sea salt
Fresh lime

This one is bright, tropical, and a little unexpected.

Our adrenal support glycerite is designed to help the body respond to stress, support balanced energy levels, and nourish overall resilience — without the jittery spike and crash. When paired with trace minerals and a pinch of sea salt, it helps replenish what stress quietly depletes.

Think: steady energy. Clear mind. Calm focus.

Would you try an energy drink with calm?

Why Your Body Might Be Craving Bitter?

There’s a flavor most of us were raised to avoid.

Bitter.

But bitter herbs are one of the oldest digestive tools in herbalism.

When you taste something bitter, your body responds immediately. Your brain signals:

• Increase saliva
• Release stomach acid
• Stimulate bile flow
• Prepare enzymes

Bitters don’t “force” digestion.
They remind your body how to do what it already knows how to do.

This is especially helpful if you experience:
• Bloating after meals
• Feeling overly full
• Sluggish digestion
• Gas
• That heavy “food just sitting there” feeling

*Common Bitter Herbs*

Dandelion
Gentian
Yellow Dock
Artichoke

Each one gently supports liver and digestive function.

How to Use Bitters

✔ 5–10 minutes before meals
✔ 1–2 dropperfuls of tincture
✔ Or drink as a bitter tea

The key is tasting them.
That first bitter taste is what activates the reflex.

If you're feeling the seasonal shift, heavier meals, or bloating lately… bitters can be one of the simplest places to start.

We carry herbal bitters in-store if you’d like help finding one that fits your needs.
