The funny mini pumpkins are back for 2025. Lovingly designed and painted by our very own Dr Joan Ploem Miller and bow up for adoption. This year a minimum $6 donation to Cat’s Cradle Rescue lets you pick out your very own little pumpkin. They generally last months so make a Pilgrim and/or Santa hat to help you celebrate multiple holidays. Top photo is the new ones painted yesterday. Most of the bottom ones have already been homed. Also please visit CatsCradleRescue.com and look at all the adorable cats & kittens needing new homes.

A blind friend shared this with me.

"If you say Hello and there are more than two people around, I never know if you’re saying hi to me, so either I feel embarrassed if you weren’t talking to me or I miss out on the interaction to avoid feeling embarrassed! It’s complicated… 🤣

If you don’t know my name, say something that tells me you’re talking to me. “Hello! I like your dog!” “Hello, I like your yellow hoodie”

Just say anything! Being blind can be very isolating.

Thank you!❤️

Also remember to tell them what your name is. Same goes for greeting grandpa, instead of saying "Do you know who I am" say, "Hi grandpa, this is Joan." Often they don't see or hear real well and this really helps.
