Hello Fellow Nature Lovers 🌸🪻🪷🌳

My husband Stephen and I, after years of digging in the dirt, are excited to announce the Grand Opening of our Surya Chandra Retreat Center located on 55 acres in the beautiful Oregon Wine Country. The Receiving Ceremony is a sacred Labyrinth Ceremony created at The Surya Chandra Center. It involves a gift or healing that the participants choose that gathers energy upon walking into the labyrinth and is sealed upon entering the center. The ceremony continues with the walk out of the labyrinth and the receiving of the healing or the gift at the exit of the labyrinth.

These are some pictures taken at The Surya Chandra Center. The June 2018 Retreat consisted of Council Circle ceremony, outdoor Hatha yoga, Guided Meditation at the one of the many Healing Gardens, Mindful Lunch, Silent Meditation through the Lavender Healing Gardens and the blackberry walk as part of the 50 acres of the Retreat Center, and the Receiving Ceremony at the Labyrinth.

On Saturday, June 16 from 10a to 2:30p the Surya Chandra Center hosted our Intensive Meditation Mindfulness Retreat. We learned about how non pharmacologic techniques such as yoga, various forms of meditation, and Labyrinth work may help decrease inflammatory cytokines and promote antidepressant-like properties with a brief talk from Director Alysa Zalma, M.D. We started to experience such phenomena with a morning yoga experience from our Assistant Director Ms. Shaye Veilleux at our outdoor yoga deck.

The Labyrinth at The Surya Chandra Retreat Center at our World Labyrinth Day Celebration, May 5, 2018. It was a fantastic day, with many people receiving healings and listening to the Native American Flute Music of Artist and Musician Eric Walter.
