👀 What’s the Difference? 👀
Many people confuse these two common eye conditions, but they affect your vision in very different ways:

🔸Glaucoma – Damage to the optic nerve, often from increased eye pressure. It usually starts with loss of peripheral vision and can lead to blindness if untreated.

🔸 Cataracts – Clouding of the eye’s natural lens. Vision becomes blurry, hazy, or dim, like looking through a foggy window.

✨ The key difference: Glaucoma damages the nerve, Cataracts cloud the lens.

About Us

The Hillsboro Eye Clinic, established in 1971, is a practice with 6 ophthalmologists and approximately 35 support staff. Full optical and contact lens dispensing is offered. The practice is located in Hillsboro, Oregon approximately 15 miles west of Portland with major freeway access. The physicians operate primarily at Tuality Community Hospital in Hillsboro, blocks away from the main office. A satellite office is located in the heart of the Tanasbourne shopping area, with easy access from Highway 26.

Saturday appointments are available at the Hillsboro location. Office calls are by appointment. All appointments can be made with the receptionist by calling 503.640.3708.
