Happy Sunday, beautiful Kula (community)

As we move into the final weeks of winter, I wanted to share a few timetable updates -

💛Tuesday 4PM is no longer running
💛Morning classes are now 5AM Tuesdays and Thursdays only - both vinyasa
💛YIN now has a second weekly spot - yay!

Our class schedule is always fluid and shaped by you, your energy, your feedback, your lives. Continue to share with me what you would love to have support your body and life so I can continue to shape it correctly. Thank you for growing with us. 🙌💛

A small reminder as classes have been filling and waitlisted lately which is such a gift!! Thank you!

If you’re planning to come, please book your spot ahead of time when you can. We’ve had a few full rooms recently, and have had to turn people away who didn’t secure their spot beforehand.😢We completely understand that life happens. Gosh do we get!! 🙈💪🏻🤪Truly, that being said, if you need to cancel, you can easily do so through the link in your confirmation email.

That’s it for announcements, I can’t wait to flow with you this week and to everyone who came to the final winter pop up workshop today… thank you. It was such a beautiful way to close the season.

❤️💛Happy Valentines Day, today started with a beautiful slow flow in community. Welcoming new friends and connecting to each other before landing and settling with the SELF on the mat.

Today is BOTH about celebrating relationships in your life and the relationship with your SELF.

It’s showing up to your mat when you feel disconnected.

It’s staying with the breath when you want to run.

It’s listening when your body whispers instead of waiting until it screams.

Yoga teaches us that self love is found through awareness, releasing expectations and not abandoning yourself while you love and serve others.

Today the invitation is to step into self love. Perhaps you -
💛take an extra 5 minutes slowing down, taking tender care as you get ready
💛slow your breaths and enjoy a few moments longer reading your book or under the hot shower

It’s the little things that slowly begin to add up. Self love in this world right now requires discipline and intention. Maybe it’s as easy as locking in your classes for the month and committing to that time for yourself?

You’re allowed to take up space in your own life too WHILE you love and serve others.

Love is love is love is love is love…

Breathe it in and send it back out to everyone else!!

This valentines week in classes we explore the power of silence as a form of presence and self CENTRED love.

When we learn to hold the space inside for all the versions of ourselves, we can love others for their balanced and unbalanced versions of them too. This is unconditional love in practice on and off the mat.

🫁✨Breathe with me before you start your day -

Self love isn’t loud, it’s not scented candles, it’s not bubble baths and checking out.

Self love is listening…

It’s noticing when your shoulders are tight, when your jaw is clenched, when you’re tired of being strong.

Self care is the moment you pause instead of push. It’s right now choosing to read this and breathe instead of keep scrolling.

The boundary you honor even when it’s uncomfortable.

The body speaks through sensations and loving yourself means learning its language.

✨ Try this 3 minute breath reset right now -

Sit or stand and image roots coming out of your feet into the earth. Inhale through your nose for 4, then release the exhale sighing out of the mouth for 4. Now breathe in 4 through the nose and this time 6 counts on the exhale. Repeat for 6- 8 rounds. Soften the shoulders every time you exhale just a little bit more.

Longer exhales tell your nervous system you are safe.

That’s self love, regulation, steadiness, coming back to CENTRE.

💛✨Truth is powerful…
When we center ourselves, I mean really, truly sit at the heart of our own being, we realize - we are the common denominator in all of our problems…

This is a powerful place, accepting full responsibility, it enables something to shift.

We begin to see ourselves and our lives clearly.

Truth rises not to shame or shake us, but to show us where we need to grow. As we tune into the lessons of Fall we notice the leaves don’t blame one another when they fall, they don’t cling on to things that cannot be changed, they surrender to the rhythm of truth - they are part of a perfectly balanced cycle.

We too are part of this perfection, we ARE whole and safe even when sometimes we don’t feel it or remember it.

Reaffirming our connection to what is bigger than us grounds us in the truth that we can soften, breathe and grow through all that life challenges us with.

Truth isn’t harsh, it’s healing. It calls us home to ourselves.

💛✨This week around the studio we have been talking about how February is kind of special this year. It has 4 Mondays, 4 Tuesdays, 4 Wednesdays, 4 of everything.

It’s so perfectly BALANCED Lol ⚖️

🌱What an opportunity, we get to slow down and actually feel the seasonal shift.

Winter is still here but Spring is starting to stretch and wake up.

If you’re still moving slower and sleeping a little longer, resting a lot and staying warm you’re doing it right! 💪🏻

We don’t need to rush this transition, we plan, we get clear and then we step out - right/yang foot forward, clear, steady and unhurried with a sustained pace for 6 months of yang season.

This is intelligent wisdom, this is embodiment, this is the CENTRE Method that we teach at CENTRE - in the yoga studio and in the clinic.

The body understands the seasonal shift better than the mind. Trust its wisdom. It always knows when it’s time to open.

Don’t rush…listen…don’t act until you’re SURE…

This week on the mat we LISTEN and I will be encouraging you to explore -

💛What did winter ask me to slow down enough to feel? ❤️
💛What truths surfaced in the darkness and stillness of winter for me? 💪🏻
💛What exhaustion, grief and heaviness am I ready to let move into growth and wisdom? 🧘‍♀️🧘‍♂️
💛What didn’t grow, am I willing to stop trying to forcing it? 🤔
💛Where did rest become medicine rather than avoidance? 🙌

These are the opportunity for growth as we slowly thaw out and move into the energy of spring.

I’m ready…I’m excited to lead us into this next phase with the balance and steadiness!
