Due to the severe impacts of Tropical Storm Chantal across the region, all Orange County government offices and facilities will be closed today, Monday, July 7, 2025.
Tropical Storm Chantal has brought significant rainfall, and localized flooding throughout Orange County, creating hazardous travel conditions and widespread power outages. Emergency management officials continue to assess storm damage and coordinate response efforts.
Essential services such as public safety, emergency response, and critical infrastructure operations will remain active during the closure. Residents are urged to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary and to monitor official channels for updates.
The following are key service impacts for today:
Solid Waste Services: Curbside collections are suspended. A revised schedule will be shared once conditions improve.
Public Libraries: All library branches are closed.
Orange County Public Transportation: Orange County Public Transportation (OCPT) will suspend all transit services to ensure the safety of passengers, operators, and staff.
Orange County Emergency Services is monitoring conditions closely and will provide updates as necessary.
