Dr. Riad graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, New Jersey in 1996, with a degree in General Dentistry. She took over Mountain View Dental in Hillsborough, New Jersey in 2004, where she continues to offer exceptional care. Her reputation with children, special needs, and dental phobics was recognized in her dental school years, and has carried on throughout the years. Our patients can attest to Dr. Riad's warm and inviting nature. Her personable chair side manner will make you feel right at home. You will receive the highest level of patient care, not only by Dr. Riad, but by her dedicated staff. We participate with most insurances, however, the level of care our patients receive, is not dictated by the insurance companies. Our insurance specialist is here to help you understand your benefits, and will happily review your yearly benefits with you. Dr. Riad specializes in implant restoration, crowns, dentures, root canal, amalgam free fillings, teeth whitening, as well as routine cleanings and exams.

There is a very good possibility our office will be closed on Monday, January 26th due to the dangerousness of the storm Sunday into Monday.

If you have an appointment on Monday, please remember the conversation that we had today, and we will be in touch with you either Sunday night, or Monday morning.

If you have a dental emergency only, you can message us on this page, and Theresa will try and help as much as possible. She will NOT be scheduling appointments. This is for dental emergencies only that cannot wait until Tuesday.

New Year, New Benefits: Making the Most of your Dental Benefits in 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣6️⃣! 🎉🦷🎉

It's the start of a new year, and if your insurance ran in a calendar year, that means your dental insurance has reset, your plan benefits could have changed, or you have a completely different dental insurance plan. If you're not sure, check with your HR department.

If you have had any insurance changes since your last visit, please contact our office as soon as possible so we can verify we are in your network.

These potential changes will affect your family's dental care. This could mean the number of cleanings & exams you are allowed per year may have changed. If you were getting 3 per year last year, maybe now you are only allowed 2. If you had a $3,000 Maximum last year, maybe it changed to $1,500 this year. If you had 80% coverage for fillings last year, maybe now they will only cover 60%. It's important for YOU to know what your benefits are.

Do you have a dentist you love? Make sure you contact them sooner than later to make sure they are a "CONTRACTED PROVIDER" in your dental network. When your dentist is "CONTRACTED", that means they are bound to a contract with the insurance company, and they accept the dental insurance fee schedule on COVERED procedures. It they tell you they "PARTICIPATE", that just means they "take" your insurance, but are not necessarily contracted....they can balance bill you the difference between what the dentist fees are, and what your insurance company pays.

It is all very confusing, but we are here to help.... Knowledge is Power!
