Another fantastic week for the EMT students at Great Brook Academy. They completed their CPR certification and participated in a lot of scenario based hands-on practice. They were able to take advantage of the "graveyard" we had set up for the haunted house and did high performance CPR scenarios in the dark to simulate a night time response. Good work!

Great Brook Academy is proud to have partnered with Select Tile of Salem, NH to provide all of their staff with CPR and AED certification. It is comforting to know that a company of this size takes their employees and customers safety seriously. Congratulations to all of the students/employees who participated. We even managed to train the company mascot who can now perform K-9 CPR! Great Brook EMS crews responded to a motocross incident last Saturday at Wi******er Speed Park on the Supercross track. Our crews worked side by side with track staff to provide care to a rider who suffered a crash. We would like to thank the hard work of those staff members along with an off duty nurse and off duty EMT who made themselves immediately available to the EMS effort. Thank you to the bystanders and spectators who came to the aid of the rider quickly and assisted in the extrication off the track and to the awaiting ambulance. We would also like to acknowledge the hard work of the Cheshire Medical Center Emergency Department staff who continued care in the hospital. Our thoughts are with the family. Great Brook EMS reminds all riders to always continue to wear all of your safety gear as this rider did and protect yourselves to the best of your ability while participating in this exciting sport. We wish continued safe riding to the entire motocross community. Stay safe.

Another busy weekend at Motocross. Practices at MX101 and NHMX in Lempster and one of the biggest races of the season at Wi******er MX. They held their two day Halloween racing event. Hundreds of race entries and riders. With the cold weather approaching we are nearing the end of another MX season.
