Now Hiring: Licensed Funeral Director / Embalmer
Russo’s Hillside Chapels is looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented Funeral Director / Embalmer to join our growing, family-owned, team in Hillside, IL. Rooted in old-world values and traditions; while providing modern-day services, we are proud to support families with care, respect, and personalized attention during life’s most difficult moments.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 Meeting with families and coordinating funeral services
 Preparing and filing all necessary documentation
 Performing embalming and restorative work
 Overseeing visitations, services, and burials
 Coordinating with clergy, cemeteries, and vendors
 Doing removals
 Scheduled nights and weekends being on call

Qualifications:
 Current Illinois Funeral Director / Embalmer license (required)
 Valid driver’s License (required)
 1–2 years of experience preferred
 Effective communication and organizational skills
 Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism

What We Offer:
 Competitive compensation
 Full health and dental insurance
 Flexible scheduling, including every other weekend off (3-day weekend)
