Been thinking all day about what being a mother means to me and trying to write this post (and not make myself cry)... but I’ve gotten pulled away 100 times.
-
This first pic says so much... it’s me standing in the kitchen, cooking for my family & holding this precious little Love who is smiling despite having a fever.
-
I get to chose healthy foods to nourish us, I have the resources to do so thanks my career in nursing.
-
I definitely would not have gotten this for without my family & especially MY MOM . Unconditional love. You just don’t know the capacity until it happens to you, when you become a mother. I so appreciate all you have done for us so much more now, mom.
-
And my sweet husband who arrived home from night shift carrying roses and a balloon and funky flamingo glasses (just as puked all over me and the floor). Without you, I would not have her. Without you, I doubt she would have such a radiant smiles ALL THE TIME.
-
I always wondered what it was like to have all my dreams come true, and this is it. Things are far from perfect, but I need the challenge 😉. there is lots of love, lessons, learning, affection and growing.

So, Bare foot, in a nursing bra and shorts with my baby on my hip, cooking and caring for my family... I wouldn’t want my first mother’s day any other way. This is me. This life, it just as it’s meant to be.
