2016…Ten years ago…I finally started telling people I was teaching yoga. I had been teaching beach yoga for three years, but was so nervous I hoped no one would come. It was the year I decided to end my marriage. After telling my sister we went out for sushi and this was my fortune. Layla, my first dog, and my Dad were still here. I saw my first baby turtle walk into the sea. I remember singing, “just keep swimming “. Growth, grief, and gratitude. Sprinkles of magic. What a wild journey.

While it’s a new year, it’s not a new me, but a bigger me, a more confident me—a me that still retreats!! And while I am trusting the Universe to take care of my other 11 wishes (see previous post), it’s my work to bring my last wish into fruition. Eventually I will offer 4 retreats a year-one to usher in each season of our continuous natural cycle. There is no coincidence in that being the wish left in my jar, the same month featured me in an article titled “Retreating for a Fuller Life”.
