Dr. Christina E. Kim is the medical director and founder of BU Wellness Clinic. She is a board certified anesthesiologist with over 25 years of hands on experience
in patient care. She completed her residency in Anesthesia at the Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL and through extensive training has earned certifications from the American Academy of Procedural Medicine in Aesthetics, the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine for Weight Management, and the American Osteopathic Association of Prolotherapy and Regenerative Medicine. She has contributed her expertise and professionalism to the medical community by serving as a chairperson in the Department of Anesthesiology at the Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center in Chicago for 15 years. Dr. Kim is passionate about making people feel the best they can on the outside and inside. Through combining her vast medical knowledge and innovative aesthetic expertise she creates a customized and methodical approach to address the unique challenges of aging. Dr. Kim aims to utilize the most natural and non-invasive treatment techniques available, which work to provide positive aesthetic refinements and visible improvements to the face and body. Research and continued education are a top priority to Dr. Kim. She aims to remain at the forefront of aesthetic medicine so that she can continue to provide her patients with the latest innovations and cutting edge technologies in the field of anti-aging and wellness. A focus at BU Wellness Clinic will be to provide natural enhancements using injectable dermal fillers as well as Neurotoxins such as Botox, Xeomin, and Dysport. With years of hands on experience, Dr. Kim has seen excellent results in administering these treatments alone as well as combined. These treatments have successfully worked to prevent and correct the effects of aging on the face as well as sculpt and enhance various areas throughout the face. Dr. Kim is also an experienced provider of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) for skin rejuvenation, specifically in the tear trough area, an area which is commonly difficult to successfully treat. PRP for aesthetic therapy is used to promote collagen synthesis within the skin and has shown great success in hair regrowth through micro-needling treatments.
