Kirk Lane Huff was born on May 22, 1960, in Watonga, Oklahoma, to William Martin and Juanita Bernice (Derry) Huff. He passed away on January 29, 2026, in Okeene, Oklahoma, at the age of 65. Kirk grew up in Watonga, Oklahoma, where he graduated from Watonga High School in 1978. Kirk went on to attend Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma, earning his bachelor’s degree in social services. He dedicated several years of his career to working with El Reno Youth and Family Services, helping support and guide families and youth in need. In his younger years, Kirk also worked as a crop duster for four to five years. He spent a majority of his life in Watonga and later moved away for 10 years to El Reno, Oklahoma before returning to Watonga. He then spent his last year in Okeene, surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

Kirk was known for his strong will and determination — often jokingly described as hard-headed because he always believed he was right. He had a great sense of humor and was an extreme jokester who loved making people laugh. He was a gifted storyteller who could talk for hours, sometimes exaggerating just enough to make his stories even more entertaining. When Kirk was in junior high, he was convinced the upstairs of his family home was haunted and refused to sleep there without his brother Mark being upstairs also — a story that remained a favorite among the family. Above all, Kirk was a devoted father and grandfather. He loved reading with his children and grandchildren and enjoyed watching cartoons with them, especially Boss Baby and Shrek. He had a big heart and treated many as his own children, always making sure others were fed and had a place to stay when needed. Kirk also had a passion for technology and artificial intelligence. He enjoyed creating AI-generated coloring books, t-shirts, and other projects through various apps he subscribed to. His creativity and curiosity never faded. Kirk’s life centered around his family and friends, whom he loved deeply. He will be remembered for his humor, generosity, storytelling, and unwavering dedication to those he cared about.
He is survived by his six children and seven grandchildren; Lane Huff and wife Alexia of Okeene, parents of Liam Kirk Huff; Jaiden Huff and wife Heather of Okeene, parents of Kingston, Holden, and Journee Goad Chris Sanders and wife Shannon of Kingfisher, with a baby on the way; Isaac Sanders of Okeene; Tanner Winegeart and wife Samantha of Okeene, parents of Brantlee and Blayklee Winegeart; and Dakota Winegeart and wife Terri of Cleo Springs, parents of Dayln Winegeart; He is also survived by his ex-wife and caregiver, Sha-Marie Huff, of the home. Along with many other bonus children and grandchildren, including his three dogs of 13 years, Liza, Pookie, and B***y. Additional survivors include his brother, Mark Huff and wife Cyndi of Blanchard; niece Amy Cullen and husband Danny of Edmond; nephews Ian Huff and wife Miranda of Guthrie, and Ben Tripp and husband Zach of Oklahoma City; along with many other relatives and friends.

Dixie Hamilton Snow was born on August 4, 1930, in a farmhouse in the small farming community of Lookeba, Oklahoma. She passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2026 in El Paso, TX at the age of 95. She was raised there with her parents, her brother Don, and her sister Kay, before the family later moved to another small farming community near Hinton, Oklahoma. Dixie continued to live in the Hinton area for more than 85 years. After graduating from high school, Dixie worked at the local hospital until she married Frank Snow, a local farmer and rancher, in 1948. They shared 50 years of marriage before Frank’s passing in 1998 following a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Together, they were deeply involved in ranching and farming. Over the years, they owned and operated a café, a hair salon, and later built and ran a motel in Hinton, which they operated for the next 34 years. Dixie loved sharing stories from those years and often laughed as she recounted the many memories—especially the tale of the motel being robbed. In the mid-1990s, Dixie was honored as Citizen of the Year in Hinton, Oklahoma. She was known for her servant’s heart and her willingness to help anyone in need. While she was a devoted caregiver to Frank, her care extended far beyond her home and into the entire community. Dixie was very active in her church, where she faithfully taught Sunday School for 30 years, serving children from second through sixth grade. Although she and Frank did not have children of their own, her love for children was evident to everyone who knew her. She became like a second mother to her nieces and later a beloved grandmother figure to their children, loving and caring for them as her own. She was especially known for her skills in cooking, jelly making, and gardening. Dixie gladly passed these talents on to her nieces and their families, always ready to share a recipe, a gardening tip, or a meal. She frequently took food to others in the community and made sure even the workers in her yard were well fed. Her love of reading was evident in the many hours she spent in the Legacy library, where she enjoyed sharing books with fellow residents. After Frank’s passing, Dixie continued to enjoy life through travel and adventure. She took many road trips with her sister Kay and Kay’s husband, including a memorable cruise to Alaska—even while wearing a cast from a broken elbow—and several trips to Sedona, Arizona. She loved collecting rocks from her travels and was always ready to pack a bag whenever a trip was mentioned. Following numerous falls and no longer able to live alone, Dixie made the decision to move to El Paso, Texas, after years of visiting Kay there. She quickly fell in love with El Paso and knew it was where she needed to be. Dixie found a true home at Legacy, where she was deeply loved by the staff and residents. As one family member said, “Dixie needed Legacy, and Legacy needed Dixie.” The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Legacy for making it her home and for the love and care they showed her.
Survivors include her sister, Kay Gibbs of El Paso, TX, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Dixie was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Crystal Hamilton, husband, Frank Snow, and one brother, Don Hamilton.
A very special thank you to Legacy at Cimarron staff for their awesome care and love for Dixie, and also special thank you to the loving care given to her in her final days by Three Oaks Hospice.

In lieu of flowers Dixie’s family asks that a memorial donation be made in her name to St Jude Children’s Hospital, www.stjude.org

Sam was known as a true “jack of all trades” and was always willing to help anyone in need. He could remodel homes, rebuild cars, and fix just about anything that was broken. As a young boy, Sam enjoyed hunting and fishing with his father and developed a lifelong love for the outdoors. At just eight years old, he proudly claimed his first deer. Sam was a kind and gentle soul. When he hugged you, you felt it. His family meant the world to him, and he held a special love for his siblings, always protective and supportive of them throughout life. While he cherished being a big brother, his most rewarding title was becoming “Uncle Sam.” Sam was deeply blessed to spend the final seven years of his life under the loving care of his dear friend, Judy Hill, of Yukon. Judy was a constant source of companionship, kindness, and unwavering support. She provided Sam with comfort and friendship, surrounding him with love until his final day. Her devotion brought him peace and reassurance, and her presence was a true blessing in his life. Sam was baptized at the age of nine and is now walking with God, watching over the family he leaves behind. Wanza June (Smith) Heldermon was born September 17, 1935, in Hinton, Oklahoma, to Marshall and Vada (Smith) Smith. She passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026, at SSM Health Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 90. June attended school in Hinton and Mound Valley Schools. She was united in marriage to Carrol Ray Heldermon, Sr. on May 25, 1952, at the Bethel Methodist Church in Hydro, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on September 1, 1989, in Oklahoma City. After their daughter Vonda was born, the family moved to Arizona. While living there, June worked at a grocery store in Phoenix and later at Western Electric. Her working career ended when she became seriously ill with virus encephalitis, which required her family to lovingly help her relearn many daily tasks. Through this difficult season, June’s strength, determination, and faith never wavered. June lived a full and fascinating life. She grew up during the Dust Bowl years and even experienced an encounter with escaped prisoners in her hometown—stories that became part of her family’s lore. Her faith in Christ was the most important part of her life, and she lived that faith through service to others. June and Carrol loved the outdoors and family time. They spent countless days camping, fishing, and traveling with their children and grandchildren. Lake Murray was a favorite destination, and June was known for making the best campfire breakfasts anyone had ever tasted. If the kids or grandkids went camping, June cooked whatever they were able to catch or hunt.
