🌟 Celebrate Recovery 🌟

Tomorrow night we have the privilege of hearing from a woman whose story is nothing short of powerful. Around here, she’s known as Momma T — a name that fits her heart perfectly. She’s the founder of Exodus Chattanooga, a ministry that brings hope, healing, and housing to those in need. Her life is a testimony of how God can take the most broken pieces and turn them into something beautiful.

Here’s what Momma T had to say about her journey:
People call her “Momma T,” and it’s a badge that Theresa Biggs wears with honor. She is the founder of Exodus Chattanooga, a nonprofit that provides hope, healing, and housing to the most vulnerable in the community. Her story begins with childhood trauma, drug addiction, alcoholism, domestic abuse, and abandonment — and yet, through it all, God had a plan. From working at Waffle House to being called into ministry at the age of 21, her road was not easy, but God was faithful every step of the way.

Come hear a story of redemption and restoration. I’m not a perfect writer, but I know God has called me to write my story — “From the Waffle House to the White House!” I may not know how He’ll make it happen, but I know one thing for sure… God isn’t finished yet. ❤️

Join us this Wednesday at Celebrate Recovery!
We’re excited to welcome Judy Robinson as she shares her powerful story of hope, healing, and transformation through Christ. Judy’s testimony reminds us that no matter what we’ve faced—trauma, loss, or pain—God’s grace is bigger, and His purpose still stands strong in our lives.

She’ll also be teaching this week’s lesson, “7 Reasons We Get Stuck,” a message full of wisdom, reflection, and encouragement for anyone walking the road of recovery.
Here are a few words from Judy herself:

My name is Judy Robinson a truly grateful believer/follower of Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior! Through my journey with Christ and the help of Celebrate Recovery and 12 Steps I am continually overcoming, childhood trauma and sexually abuse, severe domestic abuses from 2 past marriages. Grief in the loss of my son at 13 yrs old, revenge, unforgiveness and self-loathing.
I am now in a healthier marriage than ever before in my life. I can appreciate the goodness around me, and it allows me to be the real person with a servant heart that God purposed in me.
I am excited to share 7 reasons we get stuck in our recovery for this week’s lesson! Holy Spirit has brought many thoughts and angles that I hadn’t thought of before. See you all Wednesday!

Currently, we will have employers from City of Chattanooga - Government , Food City, Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA) , PeopleReady, and East Tennessee State University represented and others we hope to hear from soon. Today, Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee announced the launch of FeedTN.org a new platform connecting Tennesseans with resources and opportunities to serve their communities.

If you’re a SNAP recipient in Tennessee and looking for ways to fill the gap the Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) — administered by our Commodities Staff here at TDA — provides nutritious food to eligible individuals and families. If you’re SNAP eligible, you are automatically eligible for TEFAP distributions.

Distribution is done DIRECTLY from your local food bank:
