Comment “BLUEPRINT” for a free Neuroscience-Based Goal Setting Guide.

Why do most New Year’s resolutions fail by February? 🎆
It’s not a lack of willpower, you just didn’t know the research. Don’t worry, we’ve got you.

Most people focus on outcomes (“I want to lose weight”) instead of the specific behaviors required to get there. Effective goal setting for 2026 isn’t about motivation — it’s about aligning with how your brain actually changes behavior.

In the neuroscience of goal setting, research by Elliot T. Berkman shows your brain is wired for the path of least resistance. Old habits are effortless and rewarded. New habits demand energy, attention, and have no reward history — which is why most goal setting for 2026 plans fall apart.

To make goal setting for 2026 different, you need to master The Will and The Way.

I did the evidence-based research for you and distilled the most actionable insights from studies on goal setting and neuroplasticity. Whether your goal setting for 2026 is about fitness, career, relationships, or family — you need a plan that works with your brain’s current wiring.

I’m giving this Blueprint away for free because I want to see you actually follow through.

Inside the guide:
• The Behavior Change Equation to identify your real blocker
• An Identity Vault (30 values) to shift from “doing” to “being”
• Strategies to reduce cognitive load and automate success

Don’t just try harder in goal setting for 2026.
Build behavior change that actually sticks.

The holidays can be surprisingly lonely.
Even when you’re surrounded by people, it’s common to feel down, disconnected, or emotionally drained. Seasonal depression, anxiety, and loneliness tend to show up more this time of year — and that doesn’t mean anything is wrong with you.

Sometimes it helps to hear grounded reminders from professionals who understand what you’re going through. You don’t have to carry it alone.

If you are wondering, are there therapists near me that can help. That practice CBT, DBT, EFT, EMDR. Can help with anything from complex trauma, to anxious thoughts. Whether you’re a parent looking for yourself, your kids, or a young adult looking to find purpose. There are therapists near you, ready to help out.

Seasonal shifts can hit harder than we expect.
Shorter days, less sunlight, disrupted routines, lower energy, heavier moods. If you’ve noticed feeling more tired, unmotivated, withdrawn, or down as the seasons change, you’re not imagining it. Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) and seasonal depression are very real.

The good news? Small, consistent shifts can make a meaningful difference. Supporting your circadian rhythm, staying socially connected, keeping structure, and moving your body aren’t just “nice ideas” — they’re evidence-based ways to protect your mental health and stabilize mood during the winter months.

These aren’t about perfection. They’re about giving your nervous system more signals of safety, consistency, and light — both literally and emotionally.

How do you build confidence like Kobe?
Confidence is one of the biggest drivers of elite performance, yet it’s also one of the most misunderstood mental skills. Whether you’re an athlete, a high performer, a rookie, or a seasoned veteran, confidence affects how you train, compete, and respond under pressure.

The truth is, confidence isn’t something you’re born with or something you either “have” or “don’t have.” It’s a trainable mental skill. This information is visualization of the ideas presented in the book, “The Confident Mind” by Dr. Nate Zinsser, which breaks confidence down into something practical, repeatable, and built through preparation and experience.

When you understand confidence as something you practice, not something you wait for, everything changes.
To start building real, durable confidence, work through the four steps outlined in this carousel.

If you’re asking, “Are there therapists near me who can actually help?”—the answer is yes. In NJ and NY, therapists trained in CBT, DBT, EFT, and EMDR help adults, parents, and young adults work through anxiety, trauma, stress, and overwhelming thoughts. Whether you’re dealing with complex trauma, constant worry, or feeling lost in your next step, there are therapists near you ready to support you.

Our Story

Clinicians at the Lukin Center specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for a variety of concerns in individuals of all ages. CBT is a problem-focused, goal-directed type of treatment that focuses on the dynamic relationships between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. The purpose of CBT is to help you learn how to better manage your concerns so that ultimately you can effectively address them independently. To achieve this end, you and your therapist will actively work together to address your concerns. Specialty services include targeting Men's Issues, Couple's Therapy, and therapy with Children and Adolescents.
