💗 Let’s Talk About the Baby Blues 💗
Bringing your baby home is beautiful… But it can also feel overwhelming.
Many new moms are surprised when the joy they expected is mixed with tears, worry, or unexpected sadness.
If this sounds familiar, please know: you are not alone.
Nearly 8 in 10 new mothers experience what we call the “baby blues,” a wave of emotions that can come and go in those first days after birth. It’s your body and heart adjusting to incredible change. 💞
You might find yourself crying easily, feeling anxious, or just “not like yourself.” These feelings usually fade within a couple of weeks.
But if your sadness feels heavy, lasts longer than two weeks, or makes it hard to care for yourself or your baby, it may be more than the baby blues.
Postpartum depression is common and treatable. You might notice:
🌧️ Persistent sadness or hopelessness
🌧️ Loss of interest or joy in things you used to love
🌧️ Trouble sleeping (even when the baby sleeps)
🌧️ Feeling anxious, guilty, or overwhelmed
🌧️ Thoughts of harming yourself or feeling like your family would be better off without you
If any of these sound familiar, it’s time to reach out. There is no shame in asking for help. You deserve to feel supported and cared for. 💛
