Sleep is one of the most important factors contributing to your health. 🤍

Inadequate sleep is linked to increased cardiovascular risk, impaired glucose regulation, hormonal disruption, inflammation, and decreased immune function. Many symptoms patients experience including fatigue, brain fog, mood changes, and headaches are often due to lack of sleep.

At TullyMD, we talk about sleep as part of our comprehensive care. We inform our patients why it matters for their bodies, what may be interfering with their sleep, and practical, evidence-based ways to improve sleep quality and duration.

If you are tired all the time, overwhelmed, run-down, or not feeling like yourself, schedule an appointment at TullyMD and let us help support you in your overall health!

✨ The holidays are filled with joy, parties, and pours, but your body keeps score.
Alcohol doesn’t just affect your liver. Research shows that regular alcohol intake is linked to shorter lifespan, with stronger evidence showing no true longevity benefit, even at low levels. Heavy or frequent drinking clearly increases the risk of cancer, heart disease, poor sleep, and metabolic dysfunction.
For women, the impact can be even more noticeable. Alcohol affects hormones, sleep quality, gut health, mood, and blood sugar, especially with fluctuating estrogen and cortisol.
This season isn’t about restriction…it’s about awareness.

Drink if you choose, but be thoughtful about it. Support your body by:
1️⃣ Eating before you drink
2️⃣ Hydrating between drinks
3️⃣ Choosing low-sugar options
4️⃣ Stopping before your body says “enough”
5️⃣ Prioritizing sleep and recovery

Need help navigating alcohol, hormones, sleep, mood, and overall wellness during the busy season?

🎄 Holiday Guilt: What’s Really Happening and Why Now Is the Time to Prioritize Your Health 🎄

So many women feel holiday guilt…guilt about food choices, missed workouts, feeling overwhelmed, or not keeping up with routines. But from a medical standpoint, the guilt and stress themselves are far more harmful than a few days of celebration.

Here’s what’s actually going on in your body:
1️⃣ Your body is built to adapt, not break.
Short-term changes don’t undo your metabolism or hormones. Health is created through long-term habits, not holiday perfection.
2️⃣ Stress + guilt disrupt your physiology.
Increased cortisol affects sleep, cravings, inflammation, and mood.
Joy, rest, and connection actively support your nervous system and hormonal health.
3️⃣ Restriction creates the guilt-overeat cycle.
Labeling foods as “good” or “bad” increases guilt and dysregulates metabolism.
A non-restrictive approach helps stabilize hormones and eating patterns.
4️⃣ Rest is essential, not optional.
Recovery supports immunity, adrenal health, and emotional well-being, especially during a demanding season.

✨ Where TullyMD Comes In
My concierge model is built around one philosophy:
Your health deserves to be a priority, not an afterthought.
For many women, the holidays highlight how far down the list their health has fallen and it becomes the perfect time to catch up, reset, and finally put themselves first.

At TullyMD, that means:
• Thorough evaluations of hormones, metabolism, stress, and sleep
• Longer, unrushed visits to truly understand your health
• Personalized plans that fit your real life, including busy seasons
• Support that focuses on compassion and evidence, not guilt
• A whole-person approach that helps you feel grounded heading into a new year

💛 If you’ve been putting your health off, this season can be the moment you shift from guilt to empowerment.

Your body is resilient and you deserve care that reflects that!
