Losing weight can sometimes feel like a difficult journey. But just like we turn to scripture for other areas of our life, our health and our weight loss should be no different.

1 Corinthians 10:31 "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."

This verse is a reminder to align our actions with God's glory. When we make choices that honor Him, even in our eating and drinking, we bring purpose to our daily routines. By asking ourselves if our choices glorify God, we can stay motivated to make healthier decisions.

On our health journey, we spend a significant amount of time focusing on what we consume — our diet, physical activity, and rest. However, Proverbs 4:23 reminds us that there is something even more crucial to guard: our hearts. Your heart is not solely comprised of your emotions; it is the source of your thoughts, choices, and motivations. If we allow worry, comparison, or self-criticism to take hold, it can impact every aspect of our lives, including our health.

This week, pay close attention to your inner dialogue. When a negative or discouraging thought arises, stop and replace it with truth — something from Scripture or a reminder of who God says you are. Instead of, "I’ll never change," say, "God is still working in me." Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. - Proverbs 4:23 ❤
