Supporting Kidds, Inc. Supporting Kidds Inc. - The Center for Grieving Children and Their Families. (Hours by appointment)

Supporting Kidds Inc., The Center for Grieving Children and Their Families, provides:

Support groups for bereaved children ages 5 to 18 and their caregivers which focus on preventing long-term negative effects of unresolved grief on children. Through group discussion, artistic expression, movement activities, and journaling, participants learn positive coping tools and develop a sense of community. Caregivers learn about healthy grief and ways to support their grieving children. Individual, group and family psychotherapy services, as well as psychological assessment services, provide treatment under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. Group programs are also offered at schools for students experiencing grief and trauma, thereby averting school failure, substance abuse, depression, anxiety and other negative effects of loss. The Survival Kit for Families, a written manual about how children grieve and ways to support them in their grief, is available as a reference for families. The Survival Kit for Schools is provided to school guidance counselors, psychologists, nurses or other personnel to help them understand and support bereaved children and deal with loss in the school setting. Consultation and continuing education services are provided to professionals who work with grieving children, such as teachers, psychotherapists, day care providers, religious leaders, pediatricians, nurses, and school counselors. In addition, informal, supportive get-togethers are held for families, a lending library is available for all interested, educational programs are provided for the larger community, and information and referral services are offered to assist families in locating additional services and materials.

Thank You, Delaware💙

Do More 24 may be over, but the impact of your generosity continues.

Because of this incredible community, more than 65 donors came together to raise $14,620 in support of children, teens, and caregivers grieving a death.

We are also deeply grateful to our matching donors, whose generosity helped amplify gifts throughout the campaign and encouraged others to give. Your leadership and commitment to Supporting Kidds made a meaningful difference.

Every donation helps ensure that our peer support groups and programs remain available at no cost to families who need a safe place to share their grief and connect with others who understand.

While Do More 24 has ended, our mission continues every day. If you didn’t have a chance to give, you can still support grieving children and families by donating directly on our website.

Thank you for being part of the Supporting Kidds community.

We’re excited to share that another generous matching donor has stepped forward to support Supporting Kidds during Do More 24. 💙

For a limited time, donations will be matched, which means your gift can go twice as far in supporting children, teens, and caregivers grieving a death.

Matching donors help amplify the impact of every contribution and inspire others in our community to give.

Now is a great time to make your gift and maximize your impact.
