As we enter a year symbolized by courage and movement, I’m thinking about what this means in eating disorder recovery.
Recovery is not a quiet process.
It requires bravery.
It requires truth.
It requires action — even when fear is loud.In recovery, the boldest thing you can do might be:
• Eating the snack anyway
• Resting when your body asks
• Challenging a food rule
• Speaking honestly in session
• Choosing progress over perfection
Fire energy can feel intense especially if you live with anxiety, perfectionism, or rigidity around food. So this year, let’s redefine what power looks like.
