CBMC RECOGNIZED FOR PERFORMANCE LEADERSHIP BY THE CHARTIS CENTER FOR RURAL HEALTH
As part of National Rural Health Day, Clara Barton Medical Center announced it has earned a 2025 Performance Leadership Award for excellence in Patient Perspective. Compiled by the Chartis Center for Rural Health, the Performance Leadership Awards honor top quartile performance (i.e., 75th percentile or above) among rural hospitals in Quality, Outcomes, and/or Patient Perspective.
The Performance Leadership Awards program is based on the results of the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEXยฎ, a comprehensive and objective framework for assessing how rural hospitals are performing. INDEX benchmarks are relied upon by rural hospitals, health systems with rural footprints, hospital associations, and state offices of rural health to measure performance across multiple areas impacting hospital operations and finance.
Clara Barton Medical Center was one of only 28 Kansas hospitals to receive this award.
CBMC is a distinguished 25-bed critical access hospital and Level 4 trauma center in Hoisington, Kansas, providing comprehensive and compassionate care to the central Kansas region. Their network includes three rural health clinics in Hoisington, Great Bend, and Russell, along with a cutting-edge surgical clinic in Hoisington.
