Wishing you all a warm and wonderful Thanksgiving with an untidy peek into some of what I am most grateful for! That cluster of shoes are those of my son, home from college, and his friends. When I see that cluster I know my boy and his long time friends are down in the basement, laughing and enjoying being back together. It fills my heart! The messy hanging of coats and dog leashes etc reminds me that my family and my pup are here, living and loving and thriving. What is there to be more grateful for than that? Wishing you all your own versions of these very same blessings. 💗

If you are like me, you LOVE that first picture and… it makes you sneeze! And makes your eyes itch! And ultimately makes your sinuses hurt. Which is why we need that second picture. This Chinese herbal formula is my life saver this time of year for seasonal allergies and congestion and doesn’t make me either hyper or groggy as many allergy meds do.
Years of acupuncture have actually decreased my allergy symptoms quite a bit. But the herbs really help when the season still manages to overcome my immune system. If your allergies are acting up- acupuncture and herbs can make your life SO much better!

My two joy images this morning. The beauty of autumn leaves, which for me is a reminder to be right here in this moment (no borrowing snowy dread from the future!). And that soccer ball in my yard- makes me think of my boy (and also my ball chasing pup) and how I will have his amazing self at home this weekend!

I posted this weekend about the increase in stress and anxiety I am seeing here at the clinic (and also outside of the clinic).
I’ve decided to make it a point to put out some posts each week sharing something of beauty, peace, love or laughter. We do all have access to those things each day. And it’s so easy to overlook them, to get wrapped up and frozen in the angst. This is for myself as well!
So here is a joy/gratitude moment from my weekend. A moment I took to just sit in the beautiful sunshine and appreciate my favorite hydrangea bush in my yard and learn a thing or two from my pup who LOVES to lie around in her yard and soak it in.

These are stressful times. Overall I’ve noticed a steep increase in patients’ stress and anxiety levels. Acupuncture (among other things) is proven to be helpful in balancing the nervous system and leaving us better equipped to handle stress with more resilience and less illness and injury.
I’m grateful to do this work and to have access to this medicine.
