The services offered over the years have changed tremendously. Our hospital began with 64 employees. Our physicians and staff have grown exponentially with the advances in healthcare and are a tribute to the success of our hospital. Continued dedication to the needs of our community and patients will ensure that Phelps Memorial will serve our area for many years to come. The building project will give PMHC all new private rooms for patients, as well as a new surgical suite area, and improved privacy for all.

Therapists from Phelps Memorial Therapy Center will be at the Holdrege Senior Center on November 19th from 11 AM -12:30 PM to perform free balance screens. They will assess for any deficits and give ideas on home safety tips. The screen will take less than five minutes and will provide valuable information on whether a person is at risk for a fall.

The Phelps Memorial Hospital Foundation has awarded a $5,000 grant to the Don Sjogren Community YMCA to support their Kids Cafe/Summer Lunch program. This funding will help provide over 3,000 free and nutritious meals for children throughout the summer months.

“Supporting youth nutrition and wellness in our community is a core priority for our Foundation,” said Stephanie Dannehl, PMHC Foundation Chairman. “We’re proud to partner with the YMCA to ensure children have access to healthy meals during the summer break.”
