“I crash every afternoon”

This happens for a variety of reasons.
😩 Low blood sugar
😬 Circulation changes with digestion
😖 Stress
🥱 Monotony
😴 Emotional fatigue (this feels like “I am so
done with this day..”)

Here’s what I recommend:

💪 aim for a breakfast and lunch that are protein, fiber and healthy fat dominant. Save the fiber-rich carbs for dinner, if possible

💪 try adding electrolyte replacement 30 minutes before you typically crash or after you crash

💪 cut out all caffeine for 1 month and see if it helps. It makes a huge difference for some people, for others, no difference at all

💪 2 minutes of daylight directly in your
eyeballs 👀 don’t over complicate this. Walk to a window and look at the sky. Even better, go outside and look at the sky.

💪 A little body movement goes a long way. I like some gentle stretches, cactus arms, or a short walk.

If you’re still crashing after all of this, it’s time to look deeper at fatigue. This means sleep, hormones, and other sources of chronic fatigue.

Perimenopause is the number one topic we talk about in our clinic. It’s hard, it’s all-encompassing, and it’s the most significant hormonal transition our bodies go through—even more than puberty or pregnancy.

In last week’s podcast episode, we sit down one-on-one with Dr. Cracroft to share the same tips, guidance, and insights we walk through with patients every single day. She breaks down her top 5 practical tips for navigating the perimenopause transition and everything that comes with it.

If you haven’t listened yet, add this episode to your queue wherever you get your podcasts—it’s one you won’t want to miss.
