A scoliosis diagnosis does not have to be scary. Know your numbers, know your options.πŸ‘‡

10 degrees or less: Keep the spine strong.
10-25 degrees: The most critical window for Schroth therapy.
25 degrees: Bracing plus Schroth therapy together.
50 degrees or more: Surgery may be discussed, but muscular support still matters.

Questions? We have answers. Let’s talk! πŸ™Œ

This is what personalized scoliosis care can do. πŸ‘πŸ‘
One of our clients is 64 years old and has had scoliosis her entire life. She wore a brace as a child and has spent years feeling frustrated by the lack of real answers on how to manage her curve.

On her first visit, we taught her how to sit in a way that works with her specific curve. One week later, we introduced three targeted stretches. That was it.

After just one week of posture changes and three stretches, she gained half an inch in height.

That kind of result happens when care is built around your individual curve, not a generic plan. When you understand exactly how your spine is shaped and how you move through your day, the right approach becomes clear.

At Spine + Movement, this is how we work. Precise, personal, and focused on results that actually matter to you.

Lately, we have been hearing the same concern from clients. They go for a walk and their hip starts to hurt.

Walking is supposed to feel good, not limit you.

There are more contributors to hip pain than most people realize. Cold or damp weather tightens joints and muscles. Stress and illness put the body on guard. Aging changes how your muscles and joints share the load. And hours of sitting or repetitive movement at work build tension that shows up the moment you start moving.

Pain while walking is rarely random. It is your body telling you something needs attention.

At Spine + Movement, we help you find the real cause and get back to moving with confidence.

Have you ever looked in the mirror and wondered why your body looks a little uneven with scoliosis?

In the Schroth method, we look at the spine in what are called body blocks. Each block is made up of several vertebrae and the discs between them. When scoliosis develops, those segments shift, and the fluid-filled discs move toward one side of the curve. That shift is what creates the visible imbalance people notice in their shoulders, ribs, or hips.
The good news is that your body can learn a better way to position itself.

At Spine + Movement, we use Schroth-based techniques to teach you how to rebalance those body blocks and develop new movement habits that support your spine. Over time, those changes can help your body hold a more balanced position throughout your daily life.

Understanding your curve is the first step toward managing it well. πŸ’«

When you are deciding where to go for care, most people look for three things ➑️ Practicality. Efficiency. Trust.

Trust comes from the experiences of others. That is why we encourage people to read the reviews on our website and hear directly from the clients we have helped.

Practicality means we focus on why you came in the first place. Your primary concern is addressed right away because that’s what matters most to you.

Efficiency matters too. Life is busy. At Spine + Movement, our average episode of care is about four visits. Our goal is to help you understand what is happening in your body and give you the tools to move forward without needing endless appointments.

Thoughtful care. Clear answers. Efficient solutions. That is how we help you move better and feel better. πŸ™Œ

Sciatic pain is not one-size-fits-all. The solution often depends on what activity is triggering it. πŸ‘‡

If your pain shows up while sitting or when you move from sitting to standing, there is a simple change that can make a big difference. Make sure your hips are higher than your knees in whatever chair you are using, whether that is in the car, at your desk, or on the couch.

When your hips drop lower than your knees, it increases pressure through the hips and lower back, which can irritate the nerve and trigger that familiar ache down the leg. Raising your seat height reduces that strain and can calm things down quickly.

Small adjustments can create big relief. And if your sciatica feels more complicated than that, we can help you sort through what is really driving it. Give us a call! πŸ“²
