We’re so excited to share that Kyle Boer, LMSW, MDiv, CAADC is launching a new group at our Holland South location!

Loved Ones of Addiction Group is a six-week support and psychoeducation group designed for family members and loved ones of individuals navigating addiction. If you’ve been carrying the weight of someone else’s struggle, you don’t have to do it alone.

This group will offer education, emotional support, and practical coping strategies for the unique and often exhausting challenges addiction brings to family systems.

• Tuesdays at 6:30PM starting April 14th
• 217 E 24th Street Suite 201, Holland
• 70/person per session | $85/couple per session

Meet Katie!

We’re so excited to welcome Katie Anderson, LLMSW to our Wyoming team at Leadlight!

Katie works with children (ages 8+), adolescents, and young adults. She supports clients navigating anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, school-related challenges, social-emotional skill development, self-esteem and body image concerns, and autism spectrum (ASD). She also provides affirming, inclusive care for LGBTQIA+ clients.

With several years of experience in school settings, Katie understands the academic and developmental pressures youth face. Her approach is compassionate, collaborative, and strengths-based — helping clients feel safe, seen, and supported while building practical tools they can use at home, school, and beyond.

Katie draws from CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, activity- and play-based interventions, and somatic work. She believes therapy should be a space where clients can be fully themselves, grow in confidence, and develop skills to manage life’s challenges.

Katie currently has immediate openings in our Wyoming office!

Meet Anna!

We’re so excited to welcome Anna Patton, LLMSW to our Wyoming team at Leadlight Counseling!

Anna works with children (ages 3+), adolescents, young adults, and families, specializing in complex trauma and PTSD, foster care and adoption experiences, sexually reactive behaviors, problematic po*******hy use, mood and personality disorders, self-harm, psychogenic non-epileptic seizures, and substance use concerns.

With experience in residential settings serving youth with significant trauma histories, Anna understands how heavy some stories can be. She believes there is always a spark of light — even in the darkest chapters. She brings warmth, steadiness, and gentle humor into the work while honoring the seriousness of what clients carry.

Her approach is integrative and trauma-informed, drawing from CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, somatic work, and play-based interventions. She partners closely with parents and caregivers, knowing healing is strongest when the whole system feels supported.

Meet Nikki!

Nikki Schmitt, LLMSW is a child and family therapist who has joined our team at the Cascade office and who works with children ages 3–11 as well as their caregivers. So many of us are carrying a quiet weight we can’t quite name — but we feel it in our bodies, our relationships, and our sense of safety in the world.

In today’s blog, Ross Whitman, MA, LLC explores Plato’s Allegory of the Cave and how it offers an unexpected lens for understanding modern social media — how distorted “shadows” shape our perception, our emotions, and our beliefs more than we realize.

Meet Jenna!

Jenna Puttrich, LLMSW offers a warm, nonjudgmental space where kids and adults can feel safe, build trust, and develop their ability to regulate and respond to big emotions. She partners closely with parents and caregivers, helping them understand the needs beneath their child’s emotional or behavioral struggles so they can work together toward meaningful change.

Jenna specializes in working with children ages 5+, adolescents, and their families. She has experience supporting kids who have navigated foster care and adoption, traumatic events, sexual abuse, grief, anxiety, complex family dynamics, and involvement in the juvenile justice system.

Her approach is relationship-based and client-led, integrating EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT, relational neuroscience, and TraumaPlay. Therapy with Jenna often includes a blend of play, art, and talk to keep sessions engaging and accessible.

Jenna also enjoys working with adults. She supports clients through both immediate crises and deeper healing related to trauma, domestic or sexual violence, attachment, anxiety, and depression. In addition to EMDR, she draws from Mindful Self-Compassion, CBT, and DBT to guide her work.
