HMH RECOGNIZED AS AGE-FRIENDLY

Harmon Memorial Hospital was recently distinguished as a Level 1 Age Friendly participant.
All older adults deserve safe, high-quality health care that is based on what matters most to them as individuals and delivered reliably in every setting.
HMH is leading the way in making sure that every day, every older adult receives age-friendly health care.
As part of the Age-Friendly Health Systems movement, we are among the first health systems in the country implementing age-friendly health care. The four essential elements of an Age-Friendly Health System are known as the 4Ms:
• What Matters: Know and align care with each older adult’s specific health outcome goals and care preferences including, but not limited to, end-of-life care, and across settings of care.
• Medication: If medication is necessary, use Age-Friendly medication that do not interfere with What Matters to the older adult, Mobility, or Mentation across settings of care.
• Mentation: Prevent, identify, treat, and manage dementia, depression, and delirium across settings of care.
• Mobility: Ensure that older adults move safely every day in order to maintain function and do What Matters.
Proving HMH adheres to these 4Ms ensures their committment to continuing high-quality health care to all, including older adults.

April Vasquez is the January HMH Employee of the Month.
She is the Certified Dietary Manager in Food & Nutrition Services, the EVS Supervisor, Administration Assistant, and Purchasing Assistant. April has been at HMH for six years.
One thing she likes most about HMH is “The individuals that i get to work with on a daily basis. I have great EVS/FNS staff that take pride in their work. They give their best to meet the expectations of HMH and to be able to give the best patient care for our community.

Sheila Cole is the HMH December Employee of the Month. She is an RN and her job duties are direct patient care of med/surg and ER patients. What she likes most about HMH is “Being able to give back to the people of my community and having coworkers that are like family.”

Congratulations to Cassandra Lambert, who was chosen as the November Employee of the Month.
She is the Patient Financial Services Representative. She has been in her department and with HMH for a total of 5 months. Her job duties include registering patients, verifying insurance, taking payments and helping anywhere she is needed. What she likes most about HMH is “I love the patients, I enjoy hearing their stories and having the chance to make them smile.”

HMH is looking for a Radiology Technologist, Full Time Day Shift. Job responsibilities include coordinating and performing diagnostic radiography procedures to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care. Radiologic certification required.
