Ryan is ENP-C, Emergency Nurse Practitioner Certified, which has specialty education and practice in emergency care, and is a Board Certified Emergency Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCD).

Harmon Memorial Hospital has reached Level Two as an Age-Friendly Health System.
The 4Ms are the essential elements of meeting this distinction for those over the age of 65 - What Matters, Medication, Mentation, and Mobility.
Age-Friendly Health Systems is an initiative of The John A. Hartford Foundation and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), in partnership with the American Hospital Association (AHA) and the Catholic Health Association of the United States (CHA), designed to meet this challenge head on.
Age-Friendly Health Systems aim to:
Follow an essential set of evidence-based practices;
Cause no harm; and
Align with What Matters to the older adult and their family caregivers.

Britany (Nicole) Patterson was chosen as the March HMH Employee of the Month. She is the Health Information Management Supervisor and Front Office Supervisor. She has been in this department for 9 years and with HMH for 11 years.
Some of her job duties include scanning and indexing charts, coding outpatient, observation and physical therapy accounts, performing prior authorizations for inpatients, swing bed, physical therapy and some outpatient services and supervising all activities of the front desk and serving as backup registration.
One thing she likes most about HMH is, “Helping patients and coworkers with the experience and knowledge that I have gained while being here. Also, all the coworkers that have become more like family.”

HMH RECOGNIZED AS AGE-FRIENDLY

Harmon Memorial Hospital was recently distinguished as a Level 1 Age Friendly participant.
All older adults deserve safe, high-quality health care that is based on what matters most to them as individuals and delivered reliably in every setting.
HMH is leading the way in making sure that every day, every older adult receives age-friendly health care.
As part of the Age-Friendly Health Systems movement, we are among the first health systems in the country implementing age-friendly health care. The four essential elements of an Age-Friendly Health System are known as the 4Ms:
• What Matters: Know and align care with each older adult’s specific health outcome goals and care preferences including, but not limited to, end-of-life care, and across settings of care.
• Medication: If medication is necessary, use Age-Friendly medication that do not interfere with What Matters to the older adult, Mobility, or Mentation across settings of care.
• Mentation: Prevent, identify, treat, and manage dementia, depression, and delirium across settings of care.
• Mobility: Ensure that older adults move safely every day in order to maintain function and do What Matters.
Proving HMH adheres to these 4Ms ensures their committment to continuing high-quality health care to all, including older adults.
