This week, AutoGen CEO Michael Messier toured the Japanese Red Cross in Osaka with our partner Kurabo Industries. The Red Cross in Osaka has extracted DNA from over 1 million whole-blood samples for HLA typing as part of its QC process for delivering blood to hospitals across Japan. This was made possible with the use of QuickGene DNA Technology.

QuickGene DNA Technology is a fast, centrifugation-free DNA/RNA extraction method using porous membranes, commonly used in Japanese research, including by the Japanese Red Cross Society for studies like human platelet antigen (HPA) genotyping, ensuring quick, high-yield results for applications like PCR analysis and NGS. QuickGene products are a trusted technology for efficient, automated nucleic acid purification, enabling rapid genetic analysis for research and clinical purposes.
