Member Line of Duty Death: Master Trooper Stien Davis

Dear Patrol Family,

It is with deepest sadness that I inform you of a member’s on duty passing. Master Trooper Stien Davis, Jr. (Troop B, District 7, Robeson County) was involved in a single vehicle collision shortly after midnight this morning and was pronounced deceased.

The initial reports are that he was on duty and traveling in his patrol vehicle when he lost control of his vehicle, traveled off the road and overturned in a swampy roadside area while on NC 130. The specifics related to the cause of the collision are under investigation at this time.

Master Trooper Davis was a member of the 141st Basic Patrol School and served our state and the Robeson County area with distinction. Any forthcoming details related to his passing as well as information related to a celebration of life ceremony will be shared as we move forward.

Law Enforcement Officers, do you remember your first patrol call? Maybe you remember the first time you put the uniform on? Or perhaps you recall your swearing-in ceremony? When you think about these important moments as a first responder, remember they matter. They impacted you in an emotional way and whether the moment was exciting or hard, the calling to this career is special and leaves an imprint forever. It's a unique career and not for everyone. You learn to show-up in people's worst moments, face the evil of this world, and somehow try to go live a normal life at home. We see you. We thank you for answering the call and facing these dark moments and places in our broken world. Settle-in to the part of you that holds hope. Reach for the people who care about you.
