At Family Eye Wellness, we go beyond the basic eye exam by utilizing the latest technology to offer integrative and functional vision care for your entire family. The integrative approach to eye care takes into consideration the patient’s lifestyle, habits, diet, exercise routine, and stress management, along with family history – and allows the patient to become an active partner in the optimal management of their eye health. At Family Eye Wellness, we promote the importance of eye-body health. We offer services that include, but are not limited to: extensive and comprehensive eye examinations for adults and children of all ages, functional vision evaluations, vision therapy, visual-brain processing evaluations, and myopia control/prevention. We’re excited to introduce Leslie Martinez, our Optometric Technician & Vision Therapy Assistant at Family Eye Wellness. Leslie has been with us for a couple of months now, and we’re thrilled to officially welcome her to our patients and community!

She earned her Ophthalmology Technician Certification from Duke University and brings both knowledge and dedication to our team. Leslie assists in clinical care and vision therapy, helping patients of all ages improve their vision and quality of life.

She’s a Christmas Eve baby 🎄

We’re so excited to officially introduce you to Susan, the friendly face who greets you at the front desk here at Family Eye Wellness. She’s been with us for several months now, and her warmth and kindness make every patient feel right at home. 💙

✨ Fun Facts about Susan:

She grew up on a pig farm in the mountains of Virginia 🐷⛰️

She worked as a travel agent for over 20 years—so if you ever need tips on the Caribbean, she’s your go-to! 🌴✈️

Outside of work, Susan starts her mornings with a 4–7 mile walk (usually at 6 am!) and enjoys planting flowers while watching her hummingbirds.

We are so grateful to have her on our team—make sure to say hi the next time you’re in! 👋
