The Holiday Blues show was a GREAT time! So thankful to everyone who helped our foundation pull it off. Firstly, The Broward County Cultural Division. Next, our anonymous donor. Aaaand, Ambetter Health. My new brain love supporter, Frazier Sonia and her org, Garden of Soul. I am my sister’s keeper. To my team, LSs, Sorors, fellow comrades, VFW Post 8195 Charles H James Patrick St.Louis Sherman Fulton new volunteers, the community, and our biggest supporter, the YMCA LA Lee Mizell Community Center and the Victory Black Box Theater. Yesterday my heart was full. The Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce, Inc. hosted its 3rd annual health fair at our host location Miami Dade College NORTH CAMPUS.
This year we added a drive thru food bank. The cars began lining up at 500 am. We passed out food until noon. We fed SO MANY PEOPLE. We didn’t know that SNAP would be in peril. I’ll never understand how a nation that boasts so many things, being the most powerful is one, can allow millions of people to starve. Can’t we find a way to feed the poor consistently?!?!?!??!
Thank you to MDC, our committee, volunteers (we needed all of you!), attendees, and our Lord Jesus Christ for watching over us. And btw, Carpe Diem means to seize the day!

The DRT Brain Love Foundation, Inc was awarded our 2nd proclamation in a year. Thank you to the Office of the Mayor of Miami Dade County, Daniella Levine Cava. SEPTEMBER 18th has been declared “DRT Brain Love Foundation Day” as well as Udonis Haslem Foundation Day. Brain Love!!! We couldn’t have done this without our sponsors, The GEO Foundation, Inc and Frontline Law.
