Safe Kids Broward, Broward Sheriff's Office, and State Farm are hosting a free car seat inspection event on Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 9am-12pm at Pompano Park in North Lauderdale.

More than 50% of car seats are installed incorrectly, which can put your family at an increased risk of injury. Have your booster/car seat installed or inspected by a certified car seat technician. Don't miss this great opportunity.

Last week for National Seat Check Saturday, in partnership with Lou Bachrodt Chevrolet, General Motors, Broward Sheriff's Office, Florida Department of Transportation, Broward Healthy Start Coalition, Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, Pompano Beach Fire Rescue, Safe Kids Worldwide, and State Farm, we hosted a car seat check event in Pompano Beach to help parents/caregivers learn how to install and use their car seat correctly.

Thank you to our amazing partners for helping to make the event such a success!

Properly used car seats can reduce death by 71%, however, 2/3 of seats are used or installed incorrectly. The Safe Kids Broward Coalition offers car seat check appointments year round – check https://www.safekids.org/coalition/safe-kids-broward-county for a list of inspection locations.
