November is Prematurity Awareness Month. Our Essex County Doula Program provides multicultural doulas with one-on-one, culturally competent support through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. With a doula by their side, mothers are 29% less likely to give birth prematurely.

Our team came together to collaborate and grow at this year's All Staff Retreat! We discussed mental health, poverty-informed practice, emotional intelligence, and wellness, and took part in a relaxing yoga session—all reinforcing our commitment to compassionate, community-based care.

Despite the government shutdown, WIC remains open and continues to serve families in need.

The NJ Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program provides healthy foods, breastfeeding support, nutrition education, and referrals for eligible women, infants, and children up to age five.

We remain committed to helping families stay healthy and supported, even in uncertain times.

Last week, over 50 guests gathered in Asbury Park to honor Deputy Mayor Amy Quinn and Paradise Nightclub Manager Ryan Jimenez for their advocacy on behalf of the community. Deputy Mayor Quinn received the PRN Leadership Award, and Jimenez was presented with the PRN Advocacy Award.

The evening included brief remarks from Assemblywoman Luanne Peterpaul, who highlighted the many ways Amy and Ryan have positively impacted the LGBTQ+ community. Beer and wine were generously donated by The Mix Lounge.

Thank you to everyone who attended in support of our honorees and the amazing work they do for our communities!
