Third baby boy this week for our practice 💙

This sweet little guy made his entrance straight into his father’s hands after his mom rocked an incredible, stoic first birth in the comfort of their own home. What began quietly turned quickly, and this birth reminded us just how powerful preparation, intuition, and teamwork can be.

With mom an hour away and labor moving swiftly into an active phase, I was grateful to call on the strength of our midwifery community. Two incredible midwives closer to her stepped in immediately, ensuring she was supported every step of the way until the full team could arrive. It became a beautiful collaboration—one Nurse Midwife, two Certified Professional Midwives, a CPM student, and a dedicated doula—all coming together to hold space for this family.

Dad received his son with steady hands, and mom crossed the threshold into motherhood with quiet strength and grace.

Now, this family is settling into their first days of parenthood surrounded by deep love, family, and community support. There is nothing more sacred than witnessing a new family begin.

Worth the wait ❤️

This sweet baby boy made his entrance just after 41 weeks, gently reminding his mama of the depth of her strength, patience, and perseverance. After a long journey, she achieved her beautiful unmedicated birth and is now resting in the joy and relief of finally holding her little nugget in her arms.

Mom is elated to be on the other side of labor, and hearts are overflowing as this precious new addition is welcomed with so much love. What a powerful reminder that surrender, trust, and determination can bring the most incredible rewards.

Welcome earthside, little one. You are so deeply loved already. ✨

Welcoming this precious little boy earthside 💙

Born at 36weeks 6days after a medically indicated induction, this strong mother walked her path with courage, trust, and incredible grace. Her induction unfolded just as it should — steady, purposeful, and textbook in its progression — a reflection of her strength and preparation.

Through it all, she achieved one of her deeply held goals: a completely unmedicated birth. With unwavering focus and resilience, she labored and birthed her son without pain medication, honoring her body and her vision for his arrival.

In beautiful alignment with their birth wishes, they were also able to experience delayed cord clamping and immediate skin-to-skin — sacred first moments of connection that honor the physiologic transition to life earthside.

This sweet boy is already showing his resilience. While receiving a little extra support as he transitions, he is doing well and growing stronger each day.

At home, a proud big brother has officially stepped into his new role — and his heart already belongs to his baby brother.

It is an honor beyond words to witness families meet their babies and step into new seasons of love.

Welcome to the world, little one. You are deeply wanted, fiercely loved, and beautifully strong. 💙

High protein low sugar muffins

4c Kodiak pancake mix
4 bananas
1c powder PB
1c collagen powder
2c Greek yogurt
1.5c milk
3/4c avocado oil
2eggs
1/2tbsp baking powder
1tbsp vanilla

Made 24 muffins and one mini loaf

Bake 24min at 350. Would be delicious with chocolate chips but I was out. They are not sweet but amazing smothered in salted butter.

✨ Birth Story Highlight ✨

This sweet baby girl arrived in the most awe-inspiring way.
After a first birth in the hospital and many weeks of frequent, often discouraging contractions that would build… then fizzle… then repeat — this mama never expected what her body had planned next.

What felt like her usual “normal” Braxton Hicks suddenly shifted into unmistakable active labor, and just as quickly into second stage. A true precipitous birth that took everyone by surprise.

Thankfully, I was only five minutes away and arrived at their home just six minutes before baby made her entrance — calm, powerful, and right into her parents’ loving arms.

Mom and dad are in complete awe of the process, still processing how quickly and beautifully it all unfolded. And big brother? Absolutely smitten with his baby sister already. 💕

A powerful reminder that birth doesn’t always follow the timeline we expect — but when we trust the process, magic can happen.

This week, I hold space for two families whose pregnancies ended far too soon.

These babies were deeply wanted, fiercely loved, and will always be remembered.

There are no right words—only presence, compassion, and the honoring of their lives, however brief.
