Every day, hospitals in the Greater Kansas City region use over 600 pints of blood and plasma to care for patients across more than 70 hospitals.

But here’s something many people don’t realize…

Blood has a very short shelf life.

* Red blood cells last about 42 days
* Platelets only 5–7 days

It can’t be stockpiled for long. It has to come from people willing to give consistently.

In about 56–58 days, your blood is fully replenished, and you can donate again.

It’s one of the few things we can give that truly costs us nothing…
but can mean everything to someone else.

In some cases, same-day appointments may even be possible, depending on scheduling and insurance authorization.

Our state-of-the-art MRI scanner features a powerful 1.5 Tesla magnet, allowing us to perform a wide variety of advanced imaging scans. With the addition of advanced software, we’ve increased exam efficiency by 30%, leading to shorter scan times and a more comfortable experience for our patients.
