Coming soon, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) informed strategies will play an even greater role in our treatment programs. DBT helps individuals build practical, real-life skills to manage overwhelming emotions, reduce impulsive or self-harming behaviors, and develop healthier ways to cope with life’s challenges.

What an amazing experience our Rehab Team created for our patients on the Mountain View Unit! Preparations for Valentine’s Day began over a month ago, when the team collected donations of square tissue boxes that patients later decorated and assembled into an incredible heart design, now proudly displayed in the hallway near the cafeteria.

As Valentine’s Day approached, the Rehab Team continued engaging patients in creating additional art pieces, including centerpieces used during their very own Valentine’s Day party. Employees gathered in the hallway as patients walked through, admiring the artwork displayed and sharing how much fun they had preparing for the celebration.

We would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to our Rehab Team on MVU, not only for this wonderful patient-led event, but for continually finding creative and meaningful ways to connect patients and employees through art and shared experiences. Your team consistently does great things on MVU!

In celebration of this past Valentine’s Day, our Activities Team created a fun and sweet atmosphere for our Tower employees, with music filling the halls and treats for both our patients and staff. Cookies, cupcakes, and candy brought smiles to everyone’s faces. Thoughtfully worded cards were also handed out to all, whether they chose to enjoy a treat or not.

The team visited every unit and even made return trips to connect with employees who were missed the first time around for one reason or another.

Thank you, ladies and gentlemen, for always bringing such a kindhearted touch to our hallways for our employees and, more importantly, for our patients!
