RECALL ALERT: a voluntary recall has been issued for lisdexamfetamine dimesylate capsules (generic Vyvanse), manufactured by Sun Pharmaceuticals. Please see more information below, and call our office if you have any questions or concerns!

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries has recalled several lots lisdexamfetamine dimesylate capsules, a generic form of Vyvanse, after testing found they failed to dissolve properly.

IMPORTANT RECALL INFORMATION: All ByHeart formula has been recalled due to concerns for a multi-state outbreak of infant botulism. While there are no reported cases in Massachusetts, any ByHeart formula products should be discarded or returned immediately. Meet the Provider Monday! Welcome to HPA Sharon Laurin, NP.
Sharon joined us in April 2025. She grew up nearby in Ludlow, Massachusetts, and attended Fitchburg State College for undergrad. After many years working in the hospital setting as a nurse, she returned to UMASS Amherst to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. During her time in graduate school, she had two clinical rotations at HPA where she enjoyed working with the providers, staff and families. She has been an NP for more than 30 years, and feels very fortunate to be at HPA now.
Sharon firmly believes in forging a relationship with her patients and families, which spans from newborn to young adulthood. The importance of helping her patients advocate for themselves in health care is not lost on her, as this is a learned skill they will use for their entire lives. When not in the office she likes spending her time with family, walking/hiking, reading, or at the beach.

Sharon sees patients in Holyoke 2 days a week and in South Hadley 1 day a week.

Congratulations to the winners of this years pumpkin decorating contest!! First place went to Yadissa for her amazing Wall-E pumpkin. Kristina was a close second for her very realistic Dunkin Donut mini pumpkins, and Marissa took third for her Gary the snail. Thanks to everyone who participated and all of our patients who voted last week!🎃
