I’ve never formally introduced myself but with the recent move to Sioux City it felt like a good time to do so.

I’m Amber, Licensed Massage Therapist, Reiki Master, and owner of Good Roots Massage & Wellness. I’m married to my high school sweetheart (Mr. Barclay) and we have 4 great kids, Natalie (22), Grace (21), Claire (14), and Scout (8). In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, supporting and organizing local events in my community, and daydreaming about future trips and concerts.

I’m passionate about helping people slow down, relax, and reconnect with their bodies. My goal is to create a calming space where you can release tension, restore balance, and leave feeling renewed. I believe taking time to care for your body is one of the most important forms of self-care. I love my work as a massage therapist because I’m able to hold space for my clients so they can let go of the stress and worries of our everyday life. I’m a firm believer that when your body relaxes, it feels safe enough to let go of deeper rooted issues.

I can’t tell you how much I appreciate all the love and support as Good Roots moves to the beautiful Ho-Chunk Centre in downtown Sioux City, Suite 213 ♥️♥️♥️ I want you to feel comfortable with visiting me downtown and be aware of the parking situation. There are several areas you may park with easy access to the building. If you are having a hard time finding Good Roots, please give me a call (712.898.7527).

While no parking is allowed at Wells Fargo Parking Lot, you can find convenient parking at any of the following options:

Meter Parking: If you choose street parking please take note that parking meters only allow two hours at a time if paid with coins. You can also use the app Park mobile to pay online, or if you take a photo of the parking meter and your license plate number I would be more than happy validate your parking online and make sure you don’t get a parking ticket! You may enter the building through any of the fourth street doors, they all take you to the lobby. Good Roots is located on the 2nd floor of the building in Suite 213.

Heritage Parking Ramp: We do have a parking ramp with easy access to the building. It is located between Jackson and 3rd St. You simply grab a ticket, park, and walk from the second floor over to the skywalk leading directly into the Ho Chunk Centre. Since you will already be on the second floor you will be able to easily spot Good Roots! First hour of parking is free and it is $.75 for every hour after. You may pay with card or coins as well.

Weekend and Evening Parking: If you get lucky enough to book on a weekend or after 5:00 P.M, street parking is free!

I’ve been eager to share that Good Roots Massage & Wellness is moving to downtown Sioux City!!! I’m so excited for this next chapter and the elevated experience the new space will bring!

In the next few days I’ll be sharing more details, pictures of the space, and my new booking website!!!
