Just wrapped this one up today. I’m calling it Humpback Mountain. My clients requested two breaching humpback whales and a Kachemak bay mountain scene. They had two breaching humpbacks on their wedding cake and this is the view from their new living room. It is a steam shower. All hand cut porcelain tile.

I wrapped this one up a couple weeks ago and have forgotten to post it. Ten different varieties of Alaskan wildflowers with a mountain scene depicting Kachemak Bay. There’s 23 different colors of tile ranging from ceramic, porcelain, and quartz. All fabricated in shop and premounted on mesh for easy installation. There was alot of attention to detail in this one keeping the gridded lines throughout the mosaic.

It was an honor and a privilege to create this Aurora Borealis mosaic for the Serenity Aquatic Physical Therapy building here in Homer Alaska. Thank you for believing in my art and allowing me your step out of the box! It was fully constructed utilizing Laticrete products. Built out of 2” Hydroban board to create a dead air space to illuminate fiber optic lighting. It was constructed in four separate panels using porcelain, glass, marble, and granite tile with three different colors of grout.

We just completed this Kachemak Bay themed backsplash for a home in Soldotna. It is all hand cut travertine, marble, and slate. Premounted on fiberglass mesh with LATICRETE International, Inc. ‘s Hydroban liquid membrane. Set with Laticrete White Trilite. Grouted with Laticrete Permacolor Select color Sand Beige with matching Latasil silicone. All sealed with Bulletproof stone sealer

I’d say that the sky is the limit but that’s not entirely true as we have done many mosaics with sky’s in them.

This beehive proved to be a challenge from start to finish. My client is really pleased with the results. Materials used include travertine, granite, marble, quartz, porcelain, and glass all set into a glass mosaic field tile. all premounted on fabric using Laticrete 254 Platinum thinset and Permacolor Select grout color Light Pewter.
