Katie Ostrom, MD Katie Ostrom, MD is an obstetrician and gynecologist practicing at the Homer Medical Center in Homer, Alaska.

Originally from Queens, New York, Dr. Ostrom graduated from Rosemont College in Philadelphia with a bachelor of science degree. She earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and completed her residency at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Dr. Ostrom is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Previously, Dr. Ostrom practiced in Anchorage, Alaska, for 10 years — 3 years at Alaska Native Medical Center and 7 years at Alaska Women’s Health. During her tenure in Alaska, she also worked at Homer Medical Center on an as needed basis to provide services to women on the southern peninsula. In 2016, Dr. Ostrom and her family moved to Homer, bringing her expertise to serve women of all ages in Homer and the surrounding areas, and she is joined part-time by OB/GYN Dr. Renda Knapp. The doctors strive to bring the latest cutting-edge technology and care to patients in the Homer, Alaska community and beyond, and at affordable rates. Dr. Ostrom is pleased to announce the recent addition of the MonaLisa Touch laser to her practice. This laser offers advanced and minimally-invasive gynecological care and successfully treats a wide range of menopausal conditions such as incontinence, vaginal dryness and painful in*******se. Dr. Ostrom and her husband have two children: son, Tait, and daughter, Abby. During her free time, Dr. Ostrom enjoys fat tire cycling and trail running.
