We are proud to share that Medina Healthcare System was named Runner-Up in the Texas Department of Agriculture’s National Rural Health Day Photo Contest.

Our submission captured a powerful moment between a patient and a provider, and judges shared that the image strongly conveyed just how much our healthcare facility means to the community we serve. That connection rooted in trust, compassion, and local care is at the heart of everything we do.

National Rural Health Day is recognized each year to honor the essential role rural hospitals and healthcare providers play in keeping their communities healthy. It shines a light on the unique challenges rural areas face while celebrating the dedication, resilience, and impact of rural healthcare systems.

For Medina County, rural healthcare is not just important, it is vital. Having access to quality, compassionate care close to home means our neighbors do not have to travel far to receive the services they need, and it strengthens the overall health and well-being of our community.

This recognition belongs to our patients, our providers, our staff, and the community that continues to place their trust in us. Thank you for allowing us to care for Medina County today and every day.
