Winters are bitter cold in Northeast Pennsylvania, especially for the local animals. I call this image Waiting. As the snow falls and options for food becomes scarcer, the deer are bedded down, waiting patiently on our hill for my hubby to put food out for them. Once he goes out, more come running and there are 12+ lined up in a row feeding.
We also offer suet (in a squirrel protective case) to the local birds. Suet is a high energy bird food made from animal fat mixed with seeds and nuts, formed into a cake. The birds come and go so fast, but if I do get some photos I will post them. Stray warm and cozy on these bitter days!
