Happy Veteran's Day from all of us at Ellen Memorial!
We had a beautiful ceremony with our invited guest Ralph Huebner, an American Legion Chaplin. He came in full uniform to give a special prayer and address to all of our residents.
Each resident was acknowledged by name and branch and presented with am American Flag while we listened to military music.
Thank you to all who have served.

A great big THANK YOU, to Dawn W., our CNA from the Gold Unit, who donated so much time and labor to refurbish the gazebo on our patio. She spent her days off in the hot sun painting to brighten up the area for our residents. We are so grateful to have people like this on our staff here at Ellen!

It was Ellen's Staff Pumpkin Decorating Contest and it was a close race this year as everyone did a great job. The winners are:
1st: The Pirate Ship
2nd: The Washing Machine

Thank you to everyone who came out for our Third Annual Trunk or Treat!
We had 15 trunks and over 150 children from the community at Ellen Memorial on Sunday. Once they made their way through the parking lot, they got to trick or treat with our residents who showered them with candy and smiles.

October is "Physical Therapy Month," and our team at Ellen Memorial is taking "FALL" prevention seriously!
From balance training to strength exercises, our therapists are here to keep spirits high and our residents on their feet!

It's that time of year again!!!
Our community partner, Betty Lawson, from the Honesdale Children's Library paid us a visit.
This extraordinary group of children and parents put on a beautiful show for our resident from the Gold Unit. There was singing, laughing, clapping and smiles.
This intergenerational program is the best medicine for all!
