2025 Alzheimer's Walk in Reading, PA 👟
Last Saturday, we joined our community in the 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer's in Reading. Alzheimer's is an aggressive and devastating disease for many, including our own families and friends. Today, and every day, we support all of you who are caring for, lost, or love someone who has Alzheimer's disease. You are not alone. 💜

Unfortunately, Alzheimer's isn't stopping. Neither are we. 💼 For Boss’s Day, our team brought a goat, Tootsie, to visit our Executive Director, Kelli, to thank her for her leadership. 🐐 It’s a bucket list that we were able to check off for her! 😄 But Tootsie may be a regular thing since she made such an impression!

🎃 Our staff really got into the Halloween spirit by hosting a pumpkin decorating contest. Some adorable, some scary and some downright fun entries were voted for by staff and residents. 🕸️ Stay tuned for all of our upcoming Halloween-related fun!

Congratulations to Nancy, who recently returned home after completing her physical and occupational therapy program with us. She is walking, dressing, and grooming independently again! 🎉

🗨️ "I was terribly injured from a fall, the therapists gave me hope when I couldn't imagine how I would recover," Nancy shared. "Their expertise and compassion helped me to get strong and go home." We wish you all the best, Nancy!

Hickory House is proud to host an indoor Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, November 8th!🎄Everyone is invited! We will have local artists selling their custom work and a Toys for Tots donation bin! 🎁
