Ever wondered what really happens behind the doors of the OR?
At Jenkins Eye Care, cataract surgery is where people + precision come together. Our diagnostic technology maps your vision in detail, and our surgical team brings it to life with calm, steady expertise.
Cataracts are the #1 cause of blindness worldwide, and they happen when the eye’s natural lens becomes cloudy. The good news: cataracts don’t “clear up” on their own, but modern cataract surgery can restore clarity and for many patients, even reduce reliance on glasses.
If lights feel harsher, night driving is harder, or your vision looks foggy or faded, it might be time to get checked.

Glaucoma management is not one-time treatment, it is a long-term strategy focused on protecting the optic nerve and preserving vision over time. Because glaucoma can be asymptomatic in its early stages, comprehensive testing and ongoing monitoring are essential components of care.
At Jenkins Eye Care, treatment plans are individualized and may include prescription eye drops and laser as first-line therapy, as well as advanced options such as laser procedures, micro-incisional glaucoma surgery (MIGS), or traditional glaucoma surgery when appropriate to achieve better control of intraocular pressure.
If you have risk factors, a family history of glaucoma, or have been told your eye pressure is elevated, timely evaluation can make a meaningful difference.

Dr. Neda Nikpoor recently shared a glimpse into her time at the AECOS Winter Symposium, held in Aspen, Colorado — a premier event bringing together leaders in ophthalmology. From participating in a panel discussion and sitting on an advisory board to recording an educational video for STAAR Surgical, Dr. Nikpoor was proud to contribute to important conversations shaping the future of eye care. She even made time to ski Highland Bowl at Aspen with colleagues, making it a memorable blend of education, collaboration and connection. We’re proud to see our physicians continuing to learn, lead and represent Jenkins Eye Care on a national stage.

WaveLight® Plus represents a next-generation approach to LASIK planning, designed to increase precision by evaluating the eye’s optical system more comprehensively and translating those measurements into a highly individualized treatment plan. Rather than relying on a single data point, WaveLight® Plus incorporates advanced diagnostics intended to assess how light travels through the eye from front to back, then applies ray-tracing technology to build a 3D “Digital Eye Twin.” This allows surgeons to refine correction based on the way your eye focuses light, supporting a more personalized strategy for visual outcomes.
If you are considering vision correction, preparation begins with a thorough consultation to evaluate candidacy, discuss your vision goals and lifestyle needs and determine the most appropriate procedure and technology for your eyes. As with any surgical procedure, results and recovery vary by individual, and your surgeon’s recommendations and post-operative instructions should always be followed closely.

Preparing for LASIK is straightforward, but adherence to pre-operative instructions is essential for optimal results. In advance of your procedure, discontinue contact lenses 1-2 weeks before the pre-operative appointment, arrive free of eye makeup, perfumes and lotions, arrange reliable transportation and post-operative support and plan for temporary discomfort such as dryness or light sensitivity. Your care plan may be individualized, please follow the specific guidance provided by your surgeon and contact our team with any questions prior to surgery.

Seeing clearly shouldn’t require constant planning. For Jenkins Eye Care administrator Pam Aubuchon, vision used to mean glasses, contacts and the day-to-day logistics that come with them, packing supplies for travel, worrying about broken frames and even sleeping in contacts because midnight diapers without vision weren’t an option.
Then Pam underwent EVO ICL with Dr. Neda Nikpoor and everything changed.
“I wake up and see. I shower and see. I can get up and go, no glasses, no contacts, no limits.”
Pam has been part of the Jenkins Eye Care family for 22 years, and she shared that Dr. Tyrie Jenkins always said “no” to LASIK because Pam wasn’t a good candidate, something Pam fully respected and trusted. But like many patients, she still wished she could lighten the daily burden of glasses and contacts.
“Then along came Dr. Nikpoor and EVO and here we are,” Pam said. “She is an amazing surgeon and person, she really made me feel at ease during the entire process, before, during and even after surgery. I’m so grateful to Dr. Nikpoor for giving me this new gift of vision with EVO ICL.”
Today, Pam is enjoying family life with greater ease and confidence, from beach days to night driving, with clarity she didn’t realize she was missing.
We’re grateful to Pam for sharing her experience, and proud to offer advanced options that help patients find the vision solution that’s right for them.

Diagnostic Imaging Highlight: WaveLight® PLUS with SightMap
At Jenkins Eye Care, precision starts long before surgery.
Our WaveLight® PLUS system with SightMap collects an incredibly detailed profile of your eye, all in one scan. This advanced diagnostic technology combines three powerful measurements into one, mapping the full anatomy of your eye to help plan truly customized vision correction.
SightMap measures:
• Corneal shape and surface detail
• Prescription and visual aberrations
• Eye length and internal anatomy, including the lens
This comprehensive data allows our surgeons to design a treatment plan tailored specifically to your eyes, supporting safer procedures, higher accuracy, and more predictable outcomes.
Better data. Smarter planning. Exceptional results.
