Protect Your Eyes This Fireworks Season
Fireworks are beautiful, but even a brief mishap can cause serious, sometimes permanent, eye injuries. Most injuries happen to bystanders, not the person lighting the firework.
Here are 4 ways to protect your vision this season:
• Keep a safe distance: enjoy professional shows from at least 500 ft away.
• Wear protective eyewear if handling fireworks. Regular glasses and sunglasses aren’t enough.
• Supervise children closely: sparklers burn hotter than 1,200°F.
• Seek immediate care for any eye injury: Don’t rub, rinse, or apply pressure.
Your eyes are irreplaceable. Keep them safe.
If you experience discomfort, blurred vision, or an injury during holiday celebrations, Jenkins Eye Care is here for you.
Stay safe. See clearly. Celebrate wisely.
