Our Mission
Autism Behavior Consulting Group, Inc., (ABC GROUP) is a behavioral consulting company dedicated to providing professional evidence-based behavior analytic services (ABA) to children with autism and other developmental disabilities. Our primary emphasis focuses on the acquisition of language skills, as well as other critical skills necessary for continued learning. It is the belief of Autism Behavior Consulting Group, Inc, that the needs of the children we serve can be best met through a partnership with their parents and other professionals involved in their lives. Our goal is to help parents and professionals acquire the necessary observation, analysis, and teaching skills in order to facilitate ongoing intervention. We are dedicated to providing quality services based solely on scientifically validated procedures from the science of Applied Behavior Analysis. Procedures, which have not been validated in the scientific literature, are not included in our services. Our Philosophy
Our method of intervention is based on the behavioral theory of language, developed by B.F. Skinner (Verbal Behavior, 1957). The behavioral analysis of language separates the components of language into several verbal operants. This analysis enables us to more specifically isolate language deficits and ensures that a child is utilizing language in a functional context. In both the initial, and the ongoing analysis of the learner's needs the conceptual framework for language classification is facilitated through our use of the Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills-Revised (ABLLS-R) and the Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP). Additionally, our method of instruction utilizes the three term contingency as the backbone for teaching and learning takes place both in structured settings and throughout the child's natural environment. The combination of discrete trial and naturalistic teaching ensures the functional utility of skills by enhancing generalization and retention of skills.

To achieve this, we close bi-annually to dedicate time to progress and growth. During in-service, we focus on additional training to enhance our team’s skills, refine our practices, and ensure we continue to deliver the highest quality care for the clients and families we serve. 💛🌱🚀

We believe fostering a collaborative and spirited team is an important component for us to provide high-quality ABA services. A bonded team innovates, effectively communicates, and has better performance outcomes. 💭✅✨

Therefore, one of the agendas on our in-service schedule is a game to promote team bonding. This year, our Apprentices and Senior RBTs organized, “Look Up, Look Down”! 👀⬆️ 👀⬇️

She is so hard-working and reliable that it’s nearly impossible to imagine ABC without her! 💛
