Don't forget our free community craft event is this Thursday at 10:00! We will have a sweet group of ladies from a church in Gardendale bring all the materials and teach us how to make prayer beads for our patients (and for yourself)! We would love for you to stop by if you're in the area and make some beads or just to say hello! (There will be snacks. 🙂)

It’s Volunteer Appreciation Week, and we truly have the very best at ExpectCare Hospice! 🩷🩵💚

Today we had the joy of celebrating our incredible volunteers through an appreciation lunch, cake, and some fun raffle prizes. We were so busy laughing and enjoying time together that we completely forgot to take people pictures… which honestly says a lot about how special the day was!

To our volunteers: thank you for the love, compassion, and kindness you so freely give. You share your hearts and talents in ways that make a lasting difference, and we are beyond grateful for each of you. 🩷💚🩵

Thank you to Trader Joe’s in Hoover for their generous giftcard donation. We used it to purchase some beautiful flowers and some raffle prizes!

We are so humbled and grateful for the outpouring of love and support from the youth group and leaders at Open Door Church. 💛
They purchased items and assembled activity bags to bring joy and connection to our patients!

Countless times they have purchased and donated much needed items for our patients that remind them that they are seen, valued, and deeply cared for.

We are so thankful for their support and the beautiful way they serve others. We can’t wait to see how this group of young people continues to change the world; because they are already making it a better place. 💕

Our amazing volunteers recently came together to create “Hug in a Cup” gifts for our patients and caregivers. Each gift is filled with tea, hot chocolate, honey, and sweet treats, but most importantly, a reminder that they are loved and not alone.

We are so grateful for volunteers who selflessly give their time to bring comfort, kindness, and compassion to others. 💛
