Our amazing volunteers recently came together to create “Hug in a Cup” gifts for our patients and caregivers. Each gift is filled with tea, hot chocolate, honey, and sweet treats, but most importantly, a reminder that they are loved and not alone.

We are so grateful for volunteers who selflessly give their time to bring comfort, kindness, and compassion to others. 💛

We'd like to say a heartfelt thank you to the incredibly talented, Kaitlin Naylor!

She lovingly handmade and donated these beautiful, crocheted items for our patients, and they have already brought so much joy and comfort. She made the horse specifically for a patient who loves them, and we could not be more grateful. Thank you, Kaitlin, for sharing your time, talent, and heart with those we serve at ExpectCare Hospice.

We'd like to say a huge thank you to our UAB Honors College Students and our amazing elementary school donors!

We are so grateful for the UAB Honors College students who chose ExpectCare Hospice for their service project this semester. They organized a donation drive at Oak Mountain Intermediate and Bluff Park Elementary, and the response was absolutely incredible.

Because of their hard work and the generosity of so many sweet elementary school students, we received socks, blankets, stuffed animals, coloring books, crayons, hairbrushes, toothbrushes and so many other comforting items for our hospice patients. They donated around 645 items that will go directly to our hospice patients and their families!

These thoughtful gifts will bring warmth, joy, and a little extra love to the people we serve. 💗

Over the past few days, we’ve had the privilege of honoring our veteran patients in some very special ways.

From comforting pet therapy visits and beautiful Quilts of Valor presentations, to our veteran volunteers pinning fellow heroes, each moment was filled with gratitude, pride, and love.

We shared goodie bags, certificates, and countless heartfelt thank-yous, but no words can truly express our appreciation for their service.
