Reflection time: I realized I have been teaching in the community since 1994 and have been running a community program since 1998. About 10 years in Knowlton (through KUMC) and then 10 years in Hope (about 5 with Hope Recreation). I worked in the Training Zone in "the old A&P" for the 4 years before I started the community program (KUMC community outreach) The Training Zone and Kokora Karate closed and Adrianne, the manager of Training Zone, suggested I try to keep the classes going some how. Do any of you remember attending there? Some of you did, I know. I taught with Amy O'Brien who then came with me to Knowlton and then to Hope. Other instructors were in and out but Amy was with me for a long time and we were a great compliment to each other. Since then I've had Gina and Kayla Greco step in to teach us all ZUMBA and now Natalie Dispoto has been a great asset!. Some of the other instructors along the way were Clarice, Heather, Maxine, Michelle, and Megan. Do any of you remember them? And of course the last couple of years there has been Sam who filled in for me whenever I couldn’t teach. She kept the classes going ! Thank you ! This is going to be a huge hole for me as I've been teaching a total of 28 years (started before I moved here). I just wanted to share what a big part of my life it has been and to let anyone who has ever attended any of the classes know that you all have contributed to my experience. If I was in the military I'd be able to retire now so I guess it's time. haha. Maybe I will see some of you at a class here and there. I'm sure I will be looking for something to do. Thanks again for your support through all the years!
